After days of research, I decided to give this rear view/backup camera a try. My Rockwood Mini Lite was pre-wired with the Furrion mount, but who wants to spend over $500 for the matching camera??? Not me. The 4Ucam arrived in about 4-5 days- the packaging and instructions are impressive. Installation was a snap. I made a custom "clip on" mount for the display, so no drilling required. I also decided not to buy the optional Furrion camera mounting bracket and actually mounted the camera using the supplied bracket about 30" lower than the Furrion mount (drilled right into the rear wall of the trailer and used (4) stainless steel screws). This worked out great- it provides a longer rear view field of vision distance of about 400 to 500' while still allowing a clear field of vision for backing up. The camera is approximately 7' off the ground. I also purchased the optional antenna with the 6' cable so I could mount the antenna ON TOP of my trailer to obtain the best signal.Botton line... upon turning on the camera and display, I got a perfect, sharp picture. The camera found the display right away, no pairing required.... a 4 bar signal. I just returned from a 2100 mile trip across the southern states.... The display NEVER ONCE lost the signal, fluttered or malfunctioned... it maintained a perfect, 4 bar strong signal. I could see EVERYTHING behind me in REAL time. There were no delays in signal or jerky pictures. I am VERY impressed with this system and it boosts my driving confidence and level of safety on the road! Get one, mount it like I did and also buy the optional antenna.... you'll love it!!!
