I purchased the Sainlogic Professional WiFi Weather Station on March 1, 2021 from Amazon. Installation was amazingly simple and worked perfectly until a couple of months ago. The rain gauge quit first and then the whole unit stopped functioning a couple of weeks ago. I changed the batteries, went through the trouble shooting process but this did not correct the issues. The Outdoor Temperature, Humidity, Dewpoint and FeeIs Like, and Rain Gauge no longer function. I contacted Sainlogic via email requesting assistance over a week ago but have not received a response. In addition, the Customer Service telephone number does not work. I am extremely disappointed that this great weather station does not function any longer. I sent them an email requesting that the unit be replaced. It took them a couple of weeks to response, but they determined that the transmitter is not working properly. After several emails back and forth, they are going to replace the transmitter free of charge even though it is out of warranty.A nice little weather station in most respects. A big bright display with lots of info, though I could've lived without the "forecast" icon, which takes up screen room and doesn't add much. The basic set-up is very easy, and communication between the outside sensor and the display is solid. The manual is well-written with a few organizational quirks. Note that the instructions for connecting to WiFi is near the back in Section 13, and that's where the trouble is. (The WiFi connection is separate from the communication between the sensor and display—WiFi allows you to connect to WeatherCloud and WeatherUnderground).I struggled with the WiFi connection for several days. The main problem is that the station will only accept connections on the 2.4 GHz band. If you have a dual band router (2.4 and 5 GHz) you must disable the 5 GHz band or you won't be able to connect no matter what you do! If your router has only 2.4 GHz, you should have no problem. Just follow the instruction in the manual. But with a dual band router, you'll have to log into the router's set-up page and disable the 5 GHz connection. It probably helps to be a bit of a computer geek to feel comfortable doing that, but it's relatively straightforward. You can Google your particular router for instructions. My problem was more complicated. I have an Optimum dual band modem/router, and Optimum does not allow you to access the router's set-up page. When you type in the router's IP address (for example, 192.168.1.1), it just takes you to an Optimum page with very limited options and no way to disable 5 GHz. (This is close to criminal, in my view.) I don't know if all Optimum routers are like this, or if other companies have routers with the same limitation, but here's the way I eventually solved the problem. Maybe it will help others with the same issue.I had an old 2.4 GHz router lying around (the Dlink Dir-601). I installed this as a second router on my network. You should be able to install the second router without accessing the primary router's set-up page as long as you know the primary router's IP address. Numerous YouTube videos explain the process. (This may take a little research. You can't just connect the second router to the primary router with a cable and expect it to work. Just Google "connect two routers" for the procedure.)I had my primary modem/router connected to the PC with an Ethernet cable. Once the 601 was installed, I disabled the primary router (under Network, Change Adapter Settings in Windows). That meant that all connections went through the 601 using the 2.4 GHz band. I could then follow the instructions in the Sainlogic manual and easily access the WiFi set-up page (192.168.5.1) and follow the instructions in the manual. When I finished, I just enabled the primary router again, and all was fine.If you're reasonably comfortable with slightly geeky computer stuff, nothing here is very difficult, but it is needlessly complicated. I fault both Sainlogic and Optimum. If Sainlogic firmware provided for dual band connection, the whole process would be ridiculously easy. If Optimum allowed access to the modem's set-up page, the process would be almost as easy. As it is, it can be extremely frustrating and discouraging. At best, it requires a fair bit of fiddling. But the weather station itself seems to be quite decent and a good value for the price. We are very happy with our weather station. Once the station is set up it is very reliable. We did however have a failure with the outside sensor after a few months. Customer service was very responsive via email. They had us try a couple of resets first then it was determined to be a sensor failure. Within in a week, I they sent a new sensor, it connected immediately and we are all set. Very happy with the unit and the amazing customer service. I would highly recommend this weather station.Probably my most used tool in the house. The big bright colorful screen is pleasing to the eye and loaded with information. I like that although it shows all the numerical stats like humidity, barometric pressure, etc, you needn't be a brainiac to understand it because it also shows pictures of sun, rain forcast as well as picture of the moon cycle. Of course wind speed is also a favorite to watch in a storm. I have it sitting on an end table by my favorite chair but it's large enough you can read it from across the room too.I purchased this weather station on Dec 8, 2021. It was purchased to replace an older unit which started eating batteries to the tune of 1 full set in the outdoor transmitter every few months. The SainLogic WS0310 Pro station worked flawlessly from the second it was installed, giving accurate readings at all levels. About June of 2022 it started dropping functions first UV and sunlight, then all transmissions on July 16. I contacted customer service at SainLogic who replaced the outside unit. It is again transmitting flawlessly. They definitely stand behind their product and provided me with the replacement outdoor transmitter within a few days.I appreciate the speed and efficiency of their service and recommend this company to all who are looking for not only good quality equipment at areasonable price but great customer service as well.M'ha arribat i no ha sigut complicada de muntar.
